Profile: Stephen B. Katsaros
Mr. Katsaros is a registered Patent Agent (2001) who has prosecuted technologies ranging from nuclear
reactor metallurgical systems to digital cameras. In addition, he has performed valuations of intellectual
property for litigation and has developed methodologies for worldwide IP strategies. Mr. Katsaros has 15
years experience in product development working in the USA and China. This work has ranged from
patent-centered ideation and specification development to launching production. As a recognized advocate
for entrepreneurship, Mr. Katsaros sits on the Advisory Council for the University of Colorado's Bard
Center for Entrepreneurship. Recently, Mr. Katsaros developed two commercially successful products, has
been awarded Solidworks (a CAD program) top honor, and raised over $2m for a start-up. One of Mr.
Katsaros products grossed $14m in 1996 and caused a paradigm shift in the alpine ski industry.
